(17/07/1995) SX57837430 A inscribed boundary stone located at the foot of a wall which marks the western edge of Prison Farm 100m NNW of North Hessary Tor. The dressed granite post is square in section with a low pointed top and it measures 0.23m wide by 0.35m high. The letters DCP 0.1m high appear above an arrow on the west face. Brewer (1986) concludes that the letters refer to the 'Directors of Convict Prisons' but he gives no dates.

Erected after 1867 when the enlarged bounds of the prison were marked with 'DCP' stones. Inscribed 'DCP'. Marked on plan but not mentioned / photographed individually.
