Full description

Single hut circle is attached to the enclosure at the north-east by a wall. It measures approximately 5.0 meters in diameter. (Depicted on Butler’s map). Other details: Map 43, 1 (page 151).

Site visited 21/4/1993. Hut circle attached to a length of boundary wall leading east-north-east from enclosure. Hut lies 8.0 meters east-north-east from the enclosure. Terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and single orthostat walling type. Interior measures 4.2 meters in diameter and is defined by a 1.2 meter wide wall standing up to 0.4 meters high. Other details: 130931.

This monument includes an enclosure, two stone hut circles and an alignment of upright stones situated on a gentle west-facing slope overlooking the River Lyd. The interior of the enclosure measures 30 meters north to south by 31 meters east to west and is defined by a rubble wall up to 1.8 meters wide and 0.8 meters high. One stone hut circle lies within the northern part of the enclosure (PRN 51431), whilst this circle is attached to a length of boundary wall leading east-north-east from the enclosure. Both huts are composed of circular stone and earth walls, 1.1 meters wide and 0.4 meters high surrounding an internal area measuring 4.2 meters in diameter. (Description 1994).
