(20/04/1993) 13 cairns situated on a south-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Walla Brook forming part of a more extensive cairnfield.
Eight of the mounds are sub-circular ranging in size from 3m to 6m in diameter and between 0.4m and 0.8m high. The remainder are ovoid , ranging 5m to 9m long, 3m to 5m wide and between 0.5m and 0.8m high. The average height of all the mounds is 0.66m. The individual dimensions and location of these cairns are given below:
SX 53478407 4m diameter, 0.6m high.
SX 53468407 4m diameter, 0.8m high.
SX 53468405 5m in diameter, 0.8m high.
SX 53448407 4m in diameter, 0.6m high.
SX 53438405 5m in diameter, 0.9m high.

SX 53428408 5m long, 3m wide, is oriented N-S and stands 0.8m high.
SX 53448404 6m long, 5m wide, is oriented NNW-SSE and stands 0.9m high.
SX 53428402 6m diameter, 0.8m high. A shallow hollow, measuring 1.5m by 1m wide by 0.2m deep suggests partial early excavation or robbing.
SX 53418402 9m long, 3m wide, is oriented NNW-SSE and stands 0.6m high.
SX 53408404 3.4m diameter, and 0.5m high.
SX 53408405 6m long, 4m wide, is oriented n-s and stands 0.5m high.
SX 53388404 3m in diameter, 0.4m high. Some of the cairns may contain burials, but the group most likely represents stone clearance connected with cultivation of the area.
