Summary
One of nine Bagtor Manor boundary stones with the inscriptions 'I' and 'B' on opposite faces. A line of boundary stones extending between the Becka Brook at SX 74527719 and Crownley Parks tinwork at SX 76207612 which mark the boundary of medieval Bagtor Manor.

Boundary Stone 'b'. One of three boundary stones to the south of Haytor Rocks with 'B' and 'I' cut on opposing faces continue the line of Bagtor Manor boundary markers from the Becka Brook. Two of them stand on the edge of a leat serving the tinners' workings.

(30/03/1999) A line of inscribed boundary stones and rocks which extends between the Becka Brook and Crownley Parks marking part of the boundary of the Domesday manor of Bagtor or 'Bagathora'. The stones consist of roughly hewn granite posts each bearing the inscription 'I' for Ilsington parish and 'B' for Bagtor Manor.
Their positions are:
SX 7456 7718; SX 7471 7703; SX 7516 7668; SX 7532 7661; SX 7545 7656; SX 7592 7633; SX 7607 7625; SX 7620 7612.
There is also one boundary rock in the line at SX 7571 7645 which has its upper face inscribed.
