Milestone. Mid c18-early c19. Short, squared upright piece of limestone with rounded top (chipped). Sides and top decorated with closely set incised parallel lines. Inscription on face difficult to read. Seems to be 'from ashburton'. Mileage at top hs been weathered away (dnh).

A milestone inscribed as being two miles from Ashburton is located a mile to the west, at the one mile point.
