Summary
A clapper bridge spanning the River Avon. An archaeological field survey in 1996 recorded the structure to be in a good condition. It stands 1.2 metres above normal water level and comprises two spans; 3.2 metres long by 1.2 metres wide by 0.3 metres thick and 2.7 metres by 11metres by 0.3 metres; split, by drilling, from a single boulder. They are supported on large natural boulders and roughly built piers of boulders.

(17/07/1977) Clapper bridge. In good condition. Two spans, split by drilling from a single boulder. Supported on piers of boulders. 1.2m above normal water level.

(31/01/1996) The bridge is as described in 1977. Much erosion of the rivers banks has occurred on the approaches to the bridge.
