Enclosure wall of turf and heather covered stones.


Ministry of Works, 1961, Enclosure and hut circles east of Huntingdon Ford (Schedule Document). SDV152916.

Enclosure, entrance gaps on both upper and lower sides. Interior is sloping and soil has built up on the lower side - no huts.

Enclosure 80 meters by 70 meters, 0.5 meters high with a double-faced wall. No hut circles inside, but two small terraces.

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.

There is no evidence of there being any internal hut circles within the enclosure. The Aerial Photograph Project may not entirely accurate in this instance.
