Full description
Hartland Quay Museum, 1981, Guide to the Coast and Shipwrecks. North from Hartland Quay (Leaflet). SDV341566.
The Plymouth schooner, Star of Peace was wrecked on Damehole Point on 18th February 1887 while on passage from London to Swansea with copper ore and zinc ash. This was remembered long afterwards by local people as a 'proper wreck', the ship breaking up within a few minutes of striking the rocks.
