A dark rectilinear cropmark, circa 1.5 metres wide and covering an area of 45 by 50 metres, is visible on aerial photographs taken between 1989 and 1999. It may have formed over the buried ditch of a later prehistoric or Romano-British enclosure, the extant field boundary perhaps denoting its eastern side. The other sides are not visible as complete lengths, but the western and southern corners are convincing. More archaeological work would be needed to confirm the character and date of this feature.
