Engine House at Abbrook Clay Works marked on 1930s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map to east of Lower Preston Road. Comparison with 19th and early 20th century maps shows that an engine house was sited at several different locations during the course of the 19th and 20th century presumably in response to changes and developments at the clay works.
