Originally there appears to have been a circular horse engine house at the north end of the east side of the sawmill, which was replaced by a rectangular building at the southern end by the early 20th century. Another smaller building was added at the northern end by the 1930s. These buildings are no longer extant.

The possible circular engine house is no longer evident.
