Cairn, hollow towards centre, diameter 17.0 meters, height 1.2 meters. (Visited 17/9/1974)

Snowdon '3' cairn at SX66846838 of 13.5 metres diameter by 1.2 metres high. This cairn retains its shape better than the others, with fewer stones exposed and more shallow pitting.

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.

Site visited on 20th April 1950. Heather-covered cairn in good condition.
Field Investigation on 10th July 1977. Round platform cairn at SX 66836838 of 16 metres diameter by 1.1 metres high, is constructed of turf covered boulders. It is in good condition except for a small central disturbance and a modern
marker cairn, 0.8 metres high and 1 metres diameter. It lies on the broad level summit of Snowden at 495 metres above OD.
