William Briwer, died 1226, gave Buckland Brewer church to Torre Abbey.

Main Norman and medieval features described, mainly Perpendicular style. Much of the church rebuilt in 1879-1880. Font and monuments also described.

Parish church. Largely rebuilt in 1879, but there is a good Norman south doorway. C17 monuments (Dennys in Orleigh chapel). Fine tall embattled tower built in 1399.
