Name:Hut circle in settlement within field system east of Raddick Lane

Summary

Hut circle within a large settlement. Terraced into the hillslope and of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 6.7m in diameter and is defined by a 3m wide wall standing up to 0.8m high. A 2.5m by 1.6m by 0.3m high rubble bank lying within the building may be represent a partition, whilst another rubble bank against the north wall forms a structure with internal dimensions of 2.5m by 1.3m. This structure probably represents a cache or very small shelter.

(SX 5768 7033) Hut circle within a large settlement. Terraced into the hillslope and of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 6.7m in diameter and is defined by a 3m wide wall standing up to 0.8m high.
