HER Number:MDV52346
Name:Hut circle in settlement within field system east of Raddick Lane

Summary

Hut circle within a large settlement. The visible structure survives as a circular drystone wall measuring 1m wide and standing up to 1.7m high surrounding an internal area of 6.5m in diameter. The doorway faces south-south-west and survives as a stone-lined gap in the surrounding wall. According to Burnard this structure was used as a garden by nearby roundy farm, but it probably was re-built on the site of an earlier stone hut circle.
