Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Ford Leat marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The leat which served Keyberry Mill runs north from a weir off the Aller Brook near Aller. A spillway from the leat is shown flowing back to the Aller Brook just in front of the mill. The tailrace flows north from the mill to the road and then turns alongside the road to the Brook and/or flowed onto the pond in the grounds of Forde House.

Ordnance Survey, 2012, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV348725.

Comparison with modern mapping suggests that the course of Ford Leat has been diverted.
