A long Fish Pond, stretching almost the entire length of the grounds between the house and the road is depicted on the 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map,

A pond at old Forde House possibly represents the central and surviving one of a group of at least three long fish ponds. These may have been made circa 1550 but could be older. The sinuous form of the pond is not a typical medieval form. It may have been reshaped, possibly in the 18th century.
