Name:Ditch south-east of enclosure, Trowlesworthy Warren

Summary

Ditch flowing along contour aligned south-east by north-west. It swings downhill to avoid enclosure MDV2534. Continues west for 35m, but from the air it appears to continue to a corn ditch. Flanked on north-east side by a bank, which is composed of large boulders set on a low mound. Bank does not swing to the west alongside the ditch, but continues to north-west to abut enclosure.

(1987 estimated) Ditch flowing along contour, south-east by north-west from a wall. After 80m it swings downhill to avoid enclosure SX56SE/87 (MDV2534). Continues west for 35m, but from the air it appears to continue to a corn ditch. Flanked on north-east side by a bank, which is composed of large boulders set on a low mound. Bank does not swing to the west alongside the ditch, but continues to north-west to abut enclosure SX56SE/87. This may be an old enclosure wall, augmented by ditch upcast. From south-west corner of the enclosure a wall of similar composition runs to the west flanking north side of ditch. Ditch 115m long by 1.8m wide by 0.6m deep. Bank south-east by north-west element measures 90m long, east-west element 20m long, 2m wide, 0.5m high. Orientation south-east by north-west.
