Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 140652 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

(04/04/1995) Animal run survives as a V-shaped gully situated within a partially enclosed hut settlement.
Survives as a V-shaped gully and each arm is 1m wide and 0.3m deep. The northern arm measures 15m long and the s arm is 7m long. Material upcast during its construction forms a 1m wide and 0.2m high bank on the downslope side. This gully probably represents part of a complex system of animal runs in which rabbits and vermin could have been trapped. This gully was probably once connected to another lying to the north-east, but the relationship has been lost as a result of destruction in the area caused by the building of a track.
