Full description

The remains of a former military structure located on the steep slope above the right bank of the Blackaven Brook 130 metres north-east of New Bridge (MDV11811). All that now remians is a rectangular stoney platform measuring 11.0 metres north-east to south-west by 7.5 metres and 1.6 metres high on the west. Fragments of corrugated iron lie in the immediate area.
The origin of this feature is uncertain though most of the Observation Posts on Okehampton Range are thought to date from the early 20th century (Major D Mills, personal comment).
