Full description
Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1993-1998, Dartmoor Royal Forest Project, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV346608.
(02/11/1994) Centred SX 64967846. Two low stoney cairns situated in open moorland on the gently sloping north-eastern flank of Lakehead Hill 500m south of Postbridge:
SX 64957846, the southern cairn measures 3.6m in diameter and 0.3m high. It possesses a flat though slightly irregular top.
SX 64967847, the northern cairn measures 4.5m north to south by 4.8m and 0.4m high. A rectangular hollow, 1.3m north to south by 1.0m disturbs the otherwise flat top.
These cairns lie within a poorly preserved field system (SX 67 NW 239) and are probably the result of stone clearance.
