South Lady Bertha Mine opened in 1857 and by 1858 was reported to be working three copper-bearing lodes using water power. By 1861 the mine had reached a depth of 40 fathoms and employed 30 people. However, it was probably closed by 1862 and was wound-up in March 1864. The site is now occupied by a private dwelling. Other details: No. 5.
