Name:Brownstone Battery Searchlight

Summary

Vis=-/02/1994 (rchme) eastern searchlight of brownstone battery. Housed in a rectangular structure with a polygonal-shaped seaward end. Constructed of reinforced concrete. Searchlight was housed in the southern portion of the structure which is circular internally. The s end of the building is open except for a low wall, allowing 180 degree visibility. Metal tracking set into the wall presumably allowed the light to traverse (rchme).

RCHME, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV177702.

Vis=-/02/1994 (rchme) eastern searchlight of brownstone battery. Housed in a rectangular structure with a polygonal-shaped seaward end. Constructed of reinforced concrete.
