Vis=3/8/1994 (emafu) shown on 1st ed.6" os map as long building e-w at right angles to lane on w side.
Remains visible as 2 sections of walling against hedge bank. First section is c.88m s of junction with stone ash lane; built of clay-bonded stone 6m long x 0.65m thick x 0.75m high with possible stumps of return walls at each end. There is a 6m gap in hedge bank (original entrance) and then second section of walling c.7m long x 0.50m thick x 1.5m high; mortared stone with return wall stumps at each end (clay and mortar bonded with internal mortar pointing); stone tumble with occasional brick and roof slates.
A hard raised parched area extends c.16m w of first wall section; occasional stone and brick is visible c.6m w of second section. Field is under pasture (rchm, citing dyer).
