Part of the boundary wall of the former bus depot to rear of the George and Dragon public house was built in early 19th century as the west wall of a long, narrow shipbuilder's shed with first-storey lofts, which ran the full length of the site from Undercliff to Mayor's Avenue. The wall retains few visible features other than a fireplace at first-floor level near the south end.
