Cropmark ditches representing two possible prehistoric ring ditches are visible on oblique aerial photographs of 1992, to the northwest of Kenton. The possible ring ditches have been previously transcribed as complete circular cropmark ditches, although appear more likely visible as partial semi-circular cropmarks. The origin of these cropmarks have been tentatively interpreted here as prehistoric ring ditches, although may just as likely be agricultural or geological in origin given the density of similar such cropmarks visible within the immediate vicinity. The cropmarks were not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.

Devon County Council, 2019, Google Earth Aerial Photograph Pilot Project, GE76 (Aerial Photograph). SDV363341.

(SX 95299 83775) Enclosure, linears and ring ditches north-west of Kenton are visible on the 2018 Google Earth aerial image. Further ring ditches are evident in the north-eastern field. Bronze Age to Romano-British in date.
