The lympstone tm (copy seen at sowden house) of 1839 shows this area as already being meadow (tm).


BELL + DYER + SAGE, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV134237.

An archaeological watching brief was carried out during sww lympstone sewage scheme by exeter archaeology in 2000. The w section of pipe was laid across the site of reclaimed tidal creek believed to have been the site of a former shipbuilding yard. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were encountered (bell + dyer + sage).
