Full description
Claughton, P., 1976, Coal Mining in North Devon (Article in Serial). SDV336701.
A tramway laid in the quay adit was used to transport coal to ships waiting at the quay; the last part of the journey was on a trestle bridge crossing the road and ending at a shute directly above the ship. Tramway ran at roof-top level and was close boarded to minimise nuisance.
