Full description

Department of Environment, 1987, Princetown, 28, (28/10/1987) (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV234340.

Pair of lodges. Probably circa early 19th century. Granite rubble walls, rendered to one lodge. Pyramidal slate roof and central axial granite stacks.
Plan: pair of identical lodges, square on plan. Four rooms with central stack serving fireplaces in their corners. Single storey. Identical pair each has symmetrical two window front. The southern lodge has a flat-roofed 20th century glazed porch and the other lodge has an earlier rendered porch with hipped roof unlikely to be original. Identical granite rubble garden walls to front of each lodge.
Each lodge is situated on opposite side of the Plymouth road leading into Princetown.
