(10/03/1989) The building listed and described as Tor Royal Lodge, at SX 59947316, is known as Tor Royal Bungalow.
Apart from this lodge to the house of Tor Royal there were formerly two small lodge buildings built in the late 18th or early 19th century, at SX 59107350, to each side of the drive entrance (Map: Customary Freeholds & Early Enclosures on Dartmoor 1805-18 Duchy Records Office London). Long demolished, a church and a house now occupy their sites.
