Full description

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(14/08/1991) Centred SX 64408611. Two well-preserved cairns and a further probable cairn lie in an area of low heather and long tufty grass on the gentle N-facing slope of Langridge.
SX 64398611. A probable mutilated cairn measures 3.6m N-S by 4.2m and 0.5m high on the N by 0.15m on the S. Though disturbed there is no distinct hollow usually associated with deliberate robbing. Some small stone protrude from the mound.

(09/04/1997) SX 6439 8611 Round cairn forming part of cemetery on Long Ridge. Measures 6 metres by 4 metres by 0.7 metres high. Oriented north-west to south-east. A path cuts through the mound.

The monument, which falls into five areas, includes eight round cairns and a cist situated on Long Ridge, locally known as Langridge, overlooking the valley of the River North Teign. These mounds form a cairn cemetery situated between two broadly contemporary stone hut circle settlements.
