Name:BOUNDARY STONE in the Parish of Dartmoor Forest, Gidleigh

Summary

Vis=15/7/1991 (rchme) two upright slabs situated in the shallow valley bottom above the headmire of the e arm of the stonetor brook. The slabs, 1.2m high, are positioned in line 1m apart and lie on the boundary of gidleigh parish and the forest of dartmoor, now dartmoor forest parish. The n face of the e stone has the letters `gp' (gidleigh parish). The s face is lichen covered. A deep water filled erosion hollow lies on the n side of these stones (probert).
