(06/07/1990) SX 6855 8003 A small area of tin streamworking on the W slope of Challacombe Down, consisting of parallel gulleys with linear waste mounds and irregular pits, diggings and waste heaps, extending from the W edge of a tinners' openwork SX 67 NE 112 into Soussons Plantation [woodland area not investigated].
The workings have cut away lynchets of a Medieval and later field system SX 67 NE 111 and are crossed by a C20th leat SX 68 SE 148.
