Summary

Remains of a medieval or later tinner's pit on the east facing slope of Manga Hill recorded during an archaeological field survey in 1990. The pit measured about 3 metres in diameter and 0.4 metres deep. There is a spoil heap around its downslope side.

(09/02/1990) SX 63688450. A solitary tin pit on the moderate E-facing slope of Manga Hill. The pit, roughly 3.0m in diameter and now only 0.4m deep, possesses a characteristic rim of upcast material around its downslope side.
