Wonham house. A fragment of a large late 19c mansion. W wing and half-timbered top floor demolished c.1960. E wing dated 1889. The n side still quite attractive, with canted proch with 2 tudor arches with delicate renaissance motifs, boldly mullioned window and trim hipped-roof pavilion at the end of the service sing. Se room with elaborate plaster ceiling (cherry + pevsner).

Wonham House was obtained in 1939 for the duration of the war as a mental hospital, which had evacuated itself from The Flower House, Beckenham Hill Road, London.
