Moreton House is shown on the Tithe map, circa 1841. The two main fields to the north east and south east of the house were called North Lawn and South Lawn respectively suggesting recreational rather than agricultural use.

The orginal gardens were created in the early 1800s and the House renamed Moreton.
Leading up to WW2, the locals were given employment in order to redevelop the gardens and ponds including the former walled garden.

Country estate and school grounds, now part of Grenville College. The formal gardens and pleasure grounds are much adapted although the most important areas survive: walled gardens with rose pergolas, remnants of statuary, formal beds with some tender plants, and interesting fish ponds which were being restored in 1991.
