A ditched enclosure of probable Iron Age to Roman date is visible on aerial photographs as an incomplete cropmark on the lower south-west facing slopes of a hill north-west of Willowpark, Thorverton. The visible cropmark is curvilinear in plan and between 2 and 2.5 metres wide, enclosing an area up to 50 metres long and 40 metres wide. The south-west edge of the enclosure is not visible as a cropmark and the full extent of the enclosure could be larger still.
