Raf ap's of 1946 and 1947 held by smr and exeter archaeology indicate possible military buildings in the grounds of digby hospital. These could be associated with the camp at sx99se/173. Military buildings of Second World War date are visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards, within the grounds of the former Digby Hospital. The structures comprise a number of pitched-roof structures concentrated within the north-eastern corner of the grounds of the former hospital and connected by a series of trackways. A solitary nissen hut is sited further to the west. The structures are clearly of Second World War date and may have served to provide accommodation for military personnel, possibly associated with the camps to the northwest. The structures are partly extant on aerial photographs up until 1957, although have been completely demolished by 1963.
