Plan shows a row of four hut circles along the south side of a field boundary. Other details: Plan.

West Coombe Prehistoric settlement includes a row of three hut circles aligned north-east to south-west with a fourth to the west.
Hut 3 to the west has a diameter of 7.6 metres and seems to open into its own small paddock. A small section of its circumference is topped with laid blocks where it has been incorporated into the later field wall. Huts 6-8 in a line within the lower fields of the settlement have diameters between 5 - 8 metres and are badly damaged. Other details: Map 23, Site 1, Figure 23.1.

Excavation in 1986 revealed that the level terrace below the cairns had been used for construction of four circular timber structures whose bedding trenches were located in the natural subsoil.
