Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP133429 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

Site visited on 12th March 1993. Hut circle forming part of a cluster of Neolithic and Bronze Age settlement and ritual features including 5 enclosures, a large number of associated hut circles, 3 stone alignments and at least 22 cairns. This hut circle is located immediately south of an agglomerate enclosure. It is terraced into the hillslope and is of the simple plan and coursed walling type. The interior measures 3.7 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.6 metre wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. A 1 metre by 0.8 metre by 0.2m deep, hollow within the building may be the result of robbing or partial excavation.
