Summary

A number of sherds of pottery and glass were recovered during fieldwalking on the north side of the railway line south-east of Crediton. Mainly post-medieval, but one was dated to 13th/14th century.

Full description

Reed, S. J., 1992, Archaeological recording of the SWW Fordton outfall sewer (Crediton), 1 (Report - Watching Brief). SDV337722.

Fieldwalking in advance of sewer pipeline installation recovered a number of sherds of pot and glass. The bulk of these were post-medieval, but one was dated to 13th/14th century.
