Name:Pillow mound by Hentor Brook

Summary

Pillow mound forming part of Hentor Warren. Survives as a 24m by 5m by 0.7m high, flat topped, sub rectangular mound of soil and stone surrounded by the 1.8m wide and 0.2m deep ditch from which construction material was quarried. Another pillow mound is shown on the Ordnance Survey 1:10000 map and by Butler lying immediately south of this mound. This second mound could not be traced during field investigation, although tin streamwork earthworks were noted in this area.

01/05/1995 Pillow mound forming part of Hentor Warren. Survives as a 24m by 5m by 0.7m high, flat topped, sub rectangular mound of soil and stone surrounded by the 1.8m wide and 0.2m deep ditch from which construction material was quarried.
