Full description
Reed, S. J., 1994, Archaeological recording on the SWW Dousland to Rundlestone Water Main (Report - non-specific). SDV260127.
Pit observed in section of pipe-trench 1.1 metres deep, 1.45 metres wide, flat-bottomed and filled with a dark-brown silt. No finds recovered from section, and it was not possible to examine the excavated fill due to construction techniques. However, the proximity of the cairns and stone rows (MDV3761, MDV3762, MDV3769, MDV14794) suggest a likely prehistoric date.
