Full description
Maxfield, V. A., 1991, The Roman Fort at Tiverton (Bolham): Excavations 1981-1986, 86-92 (Article in Serial). SDV38456.
Much smelting and smithing evidence from excavations at the Roman fort. Finds included iron smelting and smithing slags, many iron nails, fragments of two crucibles and two clay moulds from the melting of metals. Also some copper alloy waste. Also fragments of iron furnace.
