Full description
Keene, B., 1994, Untitled Source (Worksheet). SDV59064.
Roman coin found during fieldwalking to the west of the Roman fort. Find spot lay c.36m w of hedgeline roughly on line with the west gate of the fort. Identified as a counterfeit, datable to roughly AD70s.

A plated denarius which does not match any legitimately minted coin type. Obverse bears head of a young Nero. The reverse has Ceres standing and may be copied from another issue. Letter refers to a coin of Charles II also being found.
