Two structures in fields close by can be included in the Challacombe settlement description:
SX 6942 7978: Foundations of a rectangular building measuring 6.9 by 5.6 metres internally, set in the angle of a field wall. It is terraced in as a platform 0.4 metres high with traces of walling of small coursed stones. It probably fulfilled an agricultural role (citing Pattison, P., 21/08/1990, Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments in England Field Investigation).
