Full description
Collings, A. G., Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV23958.
1839 tm depicts a lime kiln, situated on the seabank c.100m sw of the turf hotel. This was not shown on the os 3" drawing of 1801, nor on the first 25" os map of 1890, suggesting that it may have been a temporary structure, perhaps owing its existence to the need to provide lime for the construction of the lock and what became the turf hotel (collings).
