A cropmark ditched enclosure of potential prehistoric to Romano-British date is visible on specialist oblique aerial photographs of 1989 and on vertical aerial photographs of 1999, to the west of Stokehouse. The three-sided enclosure, which is situated on gentle east facing slope, is square in shape and with well-defined corners to both the northeast and northwest. The southern fourth side to the enclosure was not visible and may be partly truncated by an extant field boundary. A possible cropmark antennae extends northwards from the northwest corner of the enclosure, although may conceivably be of recent agricultural origin. The enclosure was visible on specialist oblique aerial photographs of 1989, although faint traces of the enclosure were also observed on aerial photographs of 1999.
