A cropmark ditch of a possible prehistoric to Romano-British enclosure is visible on specialist oblique aerial photographs of 1984, to the northeast of Peadhill. The faintly defined and inverted V-shaped cropmark is northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast aligned, with a sharp angular corner at its apex to the north. The cropmark appears to form the northern extent of a possible enclosure, although any evidence of its continuation to the south was not visible. The possible enclosure, which lies within an area where extensive prehistoric remains have been identified, was not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
