Rapid examination of aerial photograph suggests the presence of one of at least three possible round barrow sites of prehistoric or Roman date, visible as large faint (possible) ring ditch crop marks (citing Miller).

A curvilinear single ditch enclosure with an approximate diameter of 45m is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (p1). A section 34m long is missing from its NE edge. The site has been plotted in AutoCAD as part of the National Mapping Programme.

This monument record includes transcriptions derived from both the Winkleigh NMP project and from the Devon Air Photograph project, which are offset by approximately 8m. It is not known which of the transcriptions is the more accurate.
